Aspose.Words for Java 10.0 Release Notes

This release is a major milestone because from now on we can work more efficiently and it simply means a much better Aspose.Words for Java for you. The reason for this is that we can now maintain two products Aspose.Words for Java and Aspose.Words for .NET from single source code base. From now on the two products include the same set of features, fixes and are released on the same day.

What’s New

  • Most of the issues reported in 10.0 Beta are fixed. Table Styles are supported in DOC documents. Office Math Markup Language (OMML) formulas are preserved during DOCX roundtrips. Custom XML is supported in WordprocessingML 2003 documents. More fidelity when rendering DrawingML objects. Updated user documentation.

  • Field update engine (including evaluate Table of Contents). Nested mail merge regions. Support for WordprocessingML 2003 documents and FlatOPC. Support for MHTML. Render to XPS and SWF. CustomXML and Structured Document Tags support. DrawingML roundtrip and rendering. Footnotes and endnotes in rendering.

Known Issues/Limitations

  • There is no build for Java 1.4. Only JARs for Java 1.5 and 6 are provided. Printing documents is not supported. Rendering document pages to images such as TIFF is not supported. Some code examples in the user documentation and samples have not been updated and will not compile.
